Someone once said: Write from your heart. Write what you know. A good advice. About two months ago, Wiley Education Services, the brand managers for the School of Professional and Extended Studies (SPExS) at American University, DC invited me to write a blog on a career in grant evaluation. I thought about what and how much to write and more importantly, what to leave out. In this blog, I have attempted to provide a brief introduction to the field of grant evaluation – the what and how aspects of it followed by how I got into the business of evaluating grants, opened my company and finally, a few nuggets of wisdom to those who want to make a career in it. This is a personal-business journey story. I hope that you will enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it. Let me know what you think about it, if anything resonate with you, and how it may even help you. Happy reading! (Note: All opinions expressed in this blog are my own.)
