Florida Atlantic University (FAU) contracts with MNA to evaluate the 5-year U.S. Department of Education Jacob K. Javits Gifted and Talented Students Education Program. The FAU-AIR (Academies of Innovation and Research) will serve up to 1,700 gifted and talented (GT) under served minority students selected from the university’s early college high school (ECHS) program on campus to provide them intensive academic and support services that include: peer mentoring, intrusive advisement, tutoring, and counseling, in addition to early college credit(s) and degree attainment leading to an early graduation. MNA will conduct a quasi-experimental design (QED) using concurrent mixed methods to collect data on both the participants and program staff across the grant years. We are thrilled to be a part of this initiative at FAU and looking forward to working with the project team.
