April is community college awareness month. Today, we spend a moment to express our deep gratitude to all the community colleges across the nation. They are doing tireless work during these trying times as they continue to serve their students, families, and the communities they serve. Since 2009, we have been very fortunate to work with several CCs across the country.
We have been their grant writers, reviewers, evaluators, education researchers, technical assistance, capacity builders, thought partners, and strategic planners.
Our work, either as MNA, or in collaboration with colleagues from WorkEd Consulting has added value to what CCs are already doing to the U.S. economy and the individual student. In a 2014 research by the American Association of Community Colleges, it was found that for every one dollar a student spends on his/her community college education, s/he sees an ROI of $3.80.
