In 2020, the US Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOL/ETA) released the Strengthening Community Colleges Grants Program (referred to as Strengthening Community Colleges or SCC) that aims to build the capacity of community colleges to collaborate with employers and the public workforce development system to meet local and regional labor market demand for a skilled
The grants also build the capacity of community colleges to address challenges associated with the COVID-19 health crisis, such as expanding online and technology-enabled learning and migrating services to a virtual environment.
To date, 11 Community Colleges (both single institution and a consortium) have been awarded the SCC grant.
I am glad to be invited as the presenter for the upcoming webinar on evaluating the SCC grants on April 13, 2021. I will be talking about implementation evaluation with a focus on adaptive / developmental evaluation for the SCC grants.
