Once a well-meaning friend asked, “Who really reads all these reports that you write?”
I replied (nicely), “Well, we don’t decide on who will read our reports. We write them to tell a good story behind the graphs, data/numbers, and facts. But, you never know who may pick those reports to read.”
It so happened that one of our evaluation reports on Homeless Students Education reached the desk of a state official at the Maryland State House a few years ago. So, the short answer is, “You never know!”
We are proud to be a part of this very important initiative called the “Power of One” for the Homeless Student Education program at the Anne Arundel County Public Schools (Maryland) since 2016 that is supported by the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Act of 2001 (Public Law 107-110).
We will keep writing good reports the best we can as we never know….!
