Remember, I had a job posting for a p/t mixed methods evaluator (Associate) position at MNA back in August? Well, we have found our new Associate!
Got to be honest, it was not an easy find. As most of you will agree, mixed methodologists in Science and Social Science are quite unique. And those who can do Social Networking Analysis (SNA) are even rare!
Extending a very warm welcome to Shelli Golson-Mickens!
Shelli holds a B.S. in Biology from Spelman College and an MPH from University of South Carolina. She is currently completing her M.S. in Measurement in Evaluation from American University.
Shelli will work on a few newly-funded US Department of Education and National Science Foundation grants and also help us with SNA — which is a big deal these days.
In her own words, “I am excited to join the MNA team as their new methods analyst. I am very excited to be further enhancing my skills by joining the MNA team in this analytic role, as I have always been fully energized by my analytic experiences and the creative ways to utilize them. In addition to my work, I serve as the Pro-Bono Committee Co-Chair for the Atlanta-area Evaluators Association as well as membership with the Washington Evaluators Association. I am looking forward to the opportunity to continue to grow my professional network and learn from the experiences of industry evaluators. Last, but certainly not least, here’s a fun fact about me: I belong to family of gamers!”
MNA is now 7-people strong with very diverse academic and personal backgrounds. We are small but mighty and get work done.
