“What are your NYE plans?” asked a friend over WhatsApp. I responded, “Just like the past few days, stay home, read a few articles that I have saved over the year, listen to the weekend news and podcast(s), cook and eat a regular Indian meal, watch a movie and most likely doze off before it’s even over before 10 pm. And oh, post my last LI post for 2022!”
Then she asked,” Any new year’s resolutions?”
I thought to myself, are we still doing those these days? For someone who sometimes can’t recall what they had for breakfast that day, it’s very difficult to make, remember, and keep any sort of solid (often unrealistic) resolution(s). That’s just me.
Among my reads earlier last week, I fell upon a short saying by Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe (a German poet and philosopher) that goes,
“One ought, every day at least, to hear a little song, read a good poem (or a book), see a fine picture, and if it were possible, to speak a few reasonable words.”
I suppose that’s not too hard to remember and that’s what I would try my best to do in 2023.
In this last video post for 2022, I am paying a short tribute to my team at MNA who has made it all happen this year despite some bumps.
I cannot thank them enough for putting up with me and some of our not-so-cooperative clients.
Let me assure you that there are no “fabricated resumes” or “work histories” at MNA. My team is the real deal. Also, no “outdated technology” either, we use the latest tech and data tools that work to respond to our clients’ needs.
We also try to remind ourselves every day that we are dealing with people first. Relationships and people matter. At the end of the day, it’s really about clear communication, compassion, patience, and care.
Thank you for reading some of my posts and wishing you all a happy, safe, and healthy 2023.
Please take care of yourself and others if you are able/can. Happy nearly 2023!
