🎉 Going Out with a Bang (of Reports)! 🎉

It’s (almost) the end of 2024, and what better way to wrap up the year than with our final report—an impactful one at that! At MNA, we don’t just write reports; we craft stories of progress, data-driven insights, and meaningful change. The SENDAS Year 4 Evaluation Report is no exception, showcasing the strides made by Mesa Community College (MCC) to support students, empower professionals, and build a more inclusive future.

Here’s what stood out:

📚 Student Supports That Change Lives:

  • Advising: Students consistently rave about their advisors. One student said it best: “Without my career advisor’s guidance, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
  • Embedded Tutoring: 82% of students in STEM courses like CHM 130 and MAT 220 found the program “very” helpful. Turns out, learning is easier when someone’s there to untangle the mysteries of Calculus.
  • Bootcamps: 87% of participants rated their experience as “good” or “excellent.” One student shared, “This bootcamp has been really helpful—even in the first few weeks of my class.”
  • Internships: 113 students gained real-world experience in Year 4, showing the power of strong community partnerships.

🌟 Professional Development That Inspires:

  • Mindfulness Workshops: Participants left with actionable strategies to improve their work. One advisor shared, “I’ll be incorporating a mindfulness minute before my advising sessions.”
  • SENDAS Conference: With 97% satisfaction for breakout sessions, it’s clear the conference is a highlight for professional growth.

🤝 Inclusive Hiring That Matters:
SENDAS continues to lead efforts in culturally responsive hiring, aligning MCC’s workforce with its diverse student body and community.

Our Main Takeaway:
SENDAS isn’t just a project—it’s a movement of change at MCC. From students navigating their academic journeys to professionals enhancing their skills, the change is undeniable. As we enter the final year of SENDAS, we’re proud to have documented its journey and can’t wait to see what’s next.

📢 Cheers to a year of making a difference, one report at a time!
