Wind tunnel, zero-gravity lab, micro-satellites, vertical simulator, SPHERES, and some high-level excitement. MNA nerds out with Northwest Indian College students at NASA’s Ames Research Center

MNA spends two days at the NASA Ames Research Center (Silicon Valley) to learn about wind tunnel, zero-gravity lab, micro-satellites, vertical simulator, and the NASA SPHERES program. MNA is currently evaluating a one-year NASA-funded Minority University Research Education Project (MUREP) to Washington-based Northwest Indian College (NWIC). The program is a collaborative effort between University of Maryland (Baltimore County) and NWIC. Titled: NASA Inspires Native American Students (NINAS) aspires to develop, train, and implement  robotics-based curriculum at the Lummi Nation high schools and NWIC students who want to pursue STEM-related careers.
